I absolutely agree with you.It is a human nature to prefer to accept the worst behavior better than the apology and remorse .One have to outgrow himself to understand and forgive and sadly but there are many people who are not mature enough to do it and nothing he could do or say is going to be enough for them.I understand if those are the parents of victims anything is painful for them but i am feed up with everyone else being judgmental and trying to find the darkest side in any of his actions or words.Nobody is perfect . ... True words from all who have posted their meaning before me! So, what should I say more? There´s not much to add ...

But I only fear that even after this press conference press / media / press photographers won´t stop doing their hateful work ... I fear that for them it´s not enough to destroy his career and that they will go on with this, trying to destroy the rest of his life (and that of Albie) now. They are so mean!!

Maxim has given so much to Bulgaria (and to many of us here in this forum!), and now they take everything from him (and from Albie). In my opinion they don´t have the right to do so! But on the other hand I know that I can´t stop them doing so; no letter to the press or to the TV stations would change this; and that makes me soooo sad, and helpless! And I can only think of one reason why they do so: They want to sell more papers and want to have more people watching their TV channel. And that makes them more and more meaner in my opinion!

I only hope that Maxim´s decision to end his career (Did he also say he won´t be training others any more???) is not his final decision. I think skating again (and even if it´s only in shows or even working as coach...) would be a good therapy for him, a way to help him out of his depression (And: A_hot_nerd, you´re right with your remark concerning depressions: Ups and downs from one day to another are a clear sign for being depressed. So Maxim is for sure.). I fear staying away from the ice will only let him fall deeper into it, and he does not deserve this (and Albie doesn´t, too)! But that´s his decision, we can´t decide for him. But I still hope he will decide differently after the trial is over ... And the hope dies last, as we say in Germany.

And -sorry that I write it again and again, but I´m so afraid about this- I only hope that the trial will be fair. Deep inside I have a very, very bad feeling, and I only hope that this feeling won´t come true ...

This way of “giving the right punishment” to a guy who has done well during all his life like Maxim in the name of the “politically correct” it’s suspicious.

I do, too!! But I think you´re right with the "political implications".The "signs" given in the last days and weeks really are not sounding good. Sometimes I fear that Max´s chances on a fair trial are still over before the trial has really started.
But normally I´m a positive thinking people and so I have still hope, especially when thinking about that there were many other trials in Bulgaria with cases similar to Maxim´s during the last years (I think one of the Bulgarian girls mentioned this many many pages ago) that were not punished with jail time.

And: Consider the following: We always tell Max and Albie not to give up, so we also shouldn´t give up. We should think positive and hope that Max´s lawyer can get the best result out of the trial. And let´s hope that Max (and Albie) can stand the pressure he is in!

The show was beautiful, the cast great, but ...HOW MUCH I MISSED THEM...

It was depressing to watch. I have always considered the press to be vultures and they certainly appeared to be here. And the prey were Maxim and Albena. It must have been pure torture for them. What a shame they are having to endure this!

Not knowing Bulgarian, I have no idea what was said but am wondering if anyone knows of a place on the internet there might be an English transcript of this interview. It was so long that I certainly wouldn't expect anyone on the forum to translate it all for those of us who cannot understand the language.
