Hi, iv4eto_k! I did not store the German articles on my computer, because, in my opinion, they were not worth while. They were all written on 6. or 7. August 2007, they all had the same (!) text and were very short. After this date, no other articles were published, as far as I know . But I found an Austrian article with the same text. When you read this, you can perhaps imagine how "well" we are informed in Germany about Max´s accident. So, if you want to check your knowledge of German, you can try here: http://www.nachrichten.ch/detail/283484.htm
If you don´t speak German, here´s my translation into English:
Monday, 6. August 2007, 22:06 h Drunken world champion caused deadly accident World ice dance champion Maxim Staviski was involved into a deadly accident on Sunday while being under the influence of alcohol. The jeep of the 29 years old Bulgarian collided with two other cars. A 24 years old man died, a 18 years old woman was seriously hurt. Prosecutor Ognijan Stojanov cofirmed that the level of alcohol in Staviski´s blood was over the allowed limit. The reason for the accident was not published.
That´s all. Besides this, no more news were published in Germany (as far as I know). That´s not very much, isn´t it? So, again my great favour to all the Bulgarian girls: if you find something new, please post it here! Thanks!! _______________________

woow i understood every word (well i still have bad german) but thanks for posting it. You know - better less information than journalist imagining their own stupid and wrong stories about the case and making people to believe in it.

| The whole point is that images, words, people can generate good and bad vibes. Get rid of the bad vibes is a good strategy.
All I can say that so far they have been handling the situation very well. I am glad to see them stay cool, but I am not surprized. And I really want to see them on the ice again. Together. They just look beautiful there.
Fans can generate good vibes. Lana is right that talking about other things and facts is better.

| Yes, Ewuch, Manuela is breathing and the doctors think it's a good sign. I'm praying for her, that she gets well! Hm, I read an article (in Bulgarian) and I'll try to explain it, but I don't know the right words, there were too many law terms. But as I understand, Max is not accused in murder, because he helped the victims, so he's accused only in causing phisical injuries (damages ). I hope I explained well, I'm searching for an article in English. | |

| The newspapers are really strange. Novinite writes that the charge will be decreased from murder of a man in a car crash to aggravated bodily harm. http://www.novinite.com/view_news.php?id=85551 Sofiaecho writes that he was previosly charged only with causing severe physical harm and should be raised to a one which would include both the accusations of death after use of alcohol and of causing severe physical harm. http://www.sofiaecho.com/article/staviski-accusation-faulty---bulgarian-deputy-prosecutor-general/id_25036/catid_71 I don´t know what to belive. I don't understang anything - one article says Manuela is breathing by herself, another - she's still in coma, one says about 3 years of prison maximum, another - ten years. I prefer to NOT read anything no more and wait for the final decision. | |

Yes, I agree with you, Lana. It´s really ridiculous. I only hope that, after all this mess, Max still has the chance to get a fair trial, that the judges will stick to the facts, that they are not influenced by the media and that they won´t make a hasty judgement. Yes, I found the same article and wanted to post here... Petra, novinite has news about Albena and Maxim. You can receive news about them in your email. Though, I'm afraid their articles are not always very accurate. I know it's hard to find news about Albenka and Max if you don't read bg or russian press. I'm happy that the girl is better. I have faith she'll recover. I need to believe in this. I believe in positive thinking and positive vibes too..they can't solve everything but they can definitely help. Thanks for the news.

I think the media is confused too. I also think that journalists themselves don't posses information. So they just write....bits and pieces. And one sees an article and decide to use parts of it. He/she probably thinks that the one who wrote the article has 2-3 alternatives sources to confirm the story. So what's the point for him/her to search more!?

| I didn't want to write here again and then I came across those articles in "monitor" and "sega". News are confusing. The good thing is they say that Max let the authorities know he was going to Korea and plays by the rules. I am glad to hear a message that he is holding up. I sense some good will to get a fair trial. I am almost proud of the Bulgarian media. So far they behave and don't write too much about the story. It is not good to put additional stress on people involved in this.
Thanks for the comment alexandra. Hoping for the best doesn't hurt.

| I think that the bulgarian press isn't doing very well in this case. They are publishing som many and different articles, they confuse everybody! But the journalists only give their opinion not the facts in the most of the articles. They say for example that Max will get from 3-10 years, but that isn't right because it depends by his criminal past/he doesn't any/ and other things - and it is very complicated, so don't believe them too much. | |

| An article from today from novinite in English. Not much news: http://www.novinite.com/view_news.php?id=85678 And another one from standartnews (from yesterday?), so far only in Bulgarian. I can´t read it and don´t know if news is in it. But perhaps the Bulgarian girls can tell? http://www.standartnews.com/bg/article.php?d=2007-09-25&article=204775 Then, in "fsuniverse" I found an English summary of an article from 7dni sport, I think from today or yesterday. Thanks to "vivika 1982" for the summary. I hope Vivika translated right!: Quote 1 of the summary: "Maxim is not covering that he is abroad. He asked for legal permit and reside at Russian capitol where he is helping his partner Albena Denkova with show "IceAge". He signed a declaration for return if is going to be questioned. The skater is taking very seriously the whole hysteria surrounding his name after the accident. For this reason he couldn´t accept the offer to be in the show. He is depressed. Right before his departure for Moscow at the airport a little boy asked him for autograph and brought the skater into tears." and: Quote 2 of the summary: "It is an interview with the lawyer Maria Sirakova, who according to her experience and the Bulgarian law, states that Maxim has all rights for fair trial and eventually on probation because of his previous clean criminal and driving record, his full confession and cooperation. She also said that she cannot be certain because of what the media think he deserves and that in his case the popularity is not in his favor. She had very serious criminal cases who were unnoticed by the media. However the law is not concerned who is Maxim Staviski but about the case and the facts." Edit:Translation of the standartnews.com article from above (by google):" Staviski given shoulder Albena in Moscow Maxim is no longer a national hero in Bulgaria, Russians comment Spite of evil tongues Maxim and Albena are together again. Staviski, who is on trial in Bulgaria, given delivery arm for the show "Ice Age" in Moscow. World Figure Skating champion and actor Igor Vernik presented Saturday evening performance in its second draft of the Russian First Channel. While both trained by antsuzi labeled "Russia", viewers saw on video and Maxim, which helps them to work. The Forum of the show has many comments about the car crash near the mountain caused by Staviski of Aug. 6. Then died on the spot 23-year-old Petar Petrov, a 18-year Garsova Manuela is still in a coma. "Once were national heroes, but today the attitude of Maxim changed," says participant in the forum. In "Ice Age" participating couples made up of professional figure skater and star of stage, actors and shoumeni. It planned to be served and prize for zritelski sympathies, which will receive the pair with most collected esemesi. Three pages are comments in the forum of "ice age" for the performance of Albena and Igor. Overall prevailing view that the couple had liked."________________________ Albie and Max!!
