| I found this Bulgarian article some minutes ago and it seems to me as if there might be something new, especially in the last lines. I used my dictionary, but I´m not able to make a clear sense of it . Is there given the date, when the expertise of the car will be ready??? And somethimg about the minutes before the accident??? Please, can someone of the Bulgarian girls translate the important new parts (only if there really are some) into English??? Vania??? www.standartnews.com/bg/article.php?d=2007-09-13&article=203451 Edit: Translation by google: " Maxim and Albena throw ice Staviski returns from Russia to see the expertise of the crash SOFIA. Figure Skating World Champions Maxim Staviski Albena Denkova and will miss competitions during the forthcoming winter season. It reported the Russian newspaper "Vremya novostey. That he went to Rusia to see his parents but has to come back before the 18th of september. Looks like noone from the medias know where our favourites are right now . And so much the better. Otherwise they would start to write even more stupid things. | |

| Media really seems to be stupid! An article from today, but no new information! Only the same old repetitions again and again. They even don´t mention Korea, good! You have to scroll to the middle of that page, if you want to read the "news".

Besides this, has the date of the beginning of Max´s trial been given in Bulgarian media?

No, Petra, not yet at least I don't know, but they said that the investigation should finish before 18/09, and today it's 18 I hope for the best...

| Actually, I hope they have already lawyered up well and will handle the situation in the best possible way. Both Albena and Max seem really nice and down to earth people, no matter how successful they are. Usually people that work hard to achieve their dreams are just like this. It is sad that so much hard work can be tarnished in a split second. It is sad to see sunshine go away from somebody's face. Yet, this just shows that the guy is a good person. Even if they skate again it is not sure where all good spirits will come from. But I hope Albena and Maxim can figure this out. They had lifted my spirits and made my days brighter during difficult times, when co-workers had been teasing me about my country (yes, I am a Bulgarian).
BTW, I used to drive fast (and get tickets, CA police is not kidding!) after a long period of hard work, with long hours and getting weekends off only if I was about to collapse. Speeding was just a way to unwind, I understand that feeling, but I wasn't drinking. It is bad for girls.
Drunk driving is bad, but bad things can happen to good people too. If I am getting the things right the police did pull Max over. If Max was that drunk, didn't they smell it? Why didn't these police officers give him a routine test and drive him home? If they wanted to do something nice for Bulgaria's skating champion they should have done just that, not put him and other people on the road at risk.
Anyway, keeping a low profile is the best thing Max can do right now. And I hope they can figure the best way out of this situation. I wish they stay on the ice.

| You are welcome Stef.
I hope Max can make a peace with himself about this and Albena seems to be the best support. Things like this may haunt people for years.
BTW has any body heard of feng shui. It is becoming popular among SF bay area professionals. It has a lot to do with home and office decoration. I flipped through a few nicely illustrated books in the bookstore. They claim that sometimes decoration could be bring bad luck. Like everything that symbolizes fire and metal together (like a red and white flowers near someones front door) can bring bloody accidents. It is hard for me to believe, since "martenici" never bring bad luck to anybody and they are red and white. The other thing they say never to cook in the North West sector of the home, because it affects the luch of the man in the house. The same for SW, because it affects the luck of the woman. Well, if nothing else these books have nice decoration ideas.

| feng shui sometimes looks like grandma's superstitions. I anly mention it because once I had a similar experience. A nice lamburgini poster hanging on the wall and looking like it was going to run over me, but I kept it, because I liked the car. One day someone was about to run over my car. I have no idea how I reacted quickly and avoided the crush, but I removed the lamburgini. Not because of feng shui, but because it reminded me of the close call.
Any way I was glad to see the pictures from Korea and that things seem to be getting better.

Any way I was glad to see the pictures from Korea and that things seem to be getting better. Febg shui is ingeniuos! It's about functual design, and brings beauty, warmth, comfort , purity and positive energy. I never liked mirrors in the bedroom or cold colors in the bathroom or sharp table corners -and feng shui explains it all. It has nothing to do with superstitions, it's applies ancient wisdom to modern life. Of course if you block or dump trash in front of your door you can't expect any guests. And who would feel happy if they live in a disorganized ugly space (защо българите емигрираха масово )? I recently saw my work place being redone following common sense( which feng shui is) and now the business is doing much better. Try it, works every time.

| iv4eto_k wrote in the topic "Albena in the stars on Ice project": Quote: "What did the German newspaper said for the accident? You can post some of it in German if you want in the other topic. I have very bad German so you can also translate it ... and if you want and have time of course." Hi, iv4eto_k! I did not store the German articles on my computer, because, in my opinion, they were not worth while. They were all written on 6. or 7. August 2007, they all had the same (!) text and were very short. After this date, no other articles were published, as far as I know . But I found an Austrian article with the same text. When you read this, you can perhaps imagine how "well" we are informed in Germany about Max´s accident. So, if you want to check your knowledge of German, you can try here: http://www.nachrichten.ch/detail/283484.htm If you don´t speak German, here´s my translation into English: Monday, 6. August 2007, 22:06 h Drunken world champion caused deadly accident World ice dance champion Maxim Staviski was involved into a deadly accident on Sunday while being under the influence of alcohol. The jeep of the 29 years old Bulgarian collided with two other cars. A 24 years old man died, a 18 years old woman was seriously hurt. Prosecutor Ognijan Stojanov cofirmed that the level of alcohol in Staviski´s blood was over the allowed limit. The reason for the accident was not published. That´s all. Besides this, no more news were published in Germany (as far as I know). That´s not very much, isn´t it? So, again my great favour to all the Bulgarian girls: if you find something new, please post it here! Thanks!! _______________________ Albie and Max!! You will always be in a corner of my heart!! | |

I'm sorry, but it's definitely the job of the Admin or the Moderator to tell people if they think that a topic is going in the 'wrong' direction. If we find an issue with a topic, we will state so. Thank you for understanding. Oh that note... maybe we should make a new topic in the "Additional Corner". However, since there has been no recent updates, I didn't have an issue with talking about something else for a while. That is the nature of the board, afterall.
