As I wrote before, I don´t know how to "read" this after all the attacks from media ... So, make your own mind up ... A comment from our Bulgarians would have been better than this "translation" I think ...

The full translation is most appreciated, Petra, but even after reading it I'll have to say it doesn't make much sense. It gives new meaning to the phrase "lost in the translation".

Allegro's comment, I think, is quite clear. She understands the article completely and she is ready to execute the writer! I for one will accept her assessment and let it go.

Hopefully, the writer has damaged only himself with this unfortunate attack upon Maxim. Perhaps it will even cause some to sympathize with Maxim. Let's hope so!!

For about 6 months from now I had the felling that we have reserved seats for some not very pleasant show .After short wandering around I had noticed that I obviously fell upon in a circus but not one of those that brings tears in your eyes from laughing .Another one ,where you cry with pain or one that keeps you unimpressed.
This is the trial against Maxim Stavisky.


I was sure that the real show is about to begin. I was right ,what a show has been waiting for us ,one of those that make you dizzy . From the very beginning we understood that we paid for an expensive one.
There was a twist of amounts that the average Bulgarian citizen couldn’t imagine or accept .Neither one of us knew what to think about the asking price. I am not going to comment on the solidity of mentioning such cosmopolitan sum of money. I am only going to say that if this amount needs to be paid , there has to be a reasonable explanation or proof .

Something else was bothering me. The way lawyers tried to manipulate the society and to ransom Maxim with big words and with all of the explanations . It came to some contradictions , the lawyer of Manuela’s parents stated that Maxim didn’t help the injured girl even though the father mentioned in several interviews that he doesn’t want any help from him at the moment. Another lawyer, the one that represents Petar Petrov’s family was questioning and asking to withhold Maxim’s assets for some reasons that are still unclear. I simply pity those people who chose to trust these lawyers . They obviously were influenced or dominated by someone. You can see that this is a well made spider web. A web that was built up for us and if we continue to be as we were before, no wonder we are going to get caught in the web. And for Maxim this is just pure psychological torture and blackmail . My comprehension of this is that “ you pay and you’ll have a probation or you don’t pay and you’ll go to jail“ .


The most important thing ,my fellow citizens , is what people we are and until when we are going to let others think instead of us. I am going to ask you a question with three unknown answers : first, whenever Maxim didn’t carry out his promises , whenever he consciously acted against anyone , and did you see what happened to him now. Answer yourself those questions and you will know whom to trust . As for myself I already answered and I am staying behind my favorite skaters.
Because for all those months I understood one thing - the privilege to admire Maxim “The Angel” was probably a gift from above , but the choice to admire Maxim “The Sinner” gives real meaning to this admiration.”

- There is a new talkshow in Bulgarian BTV, beginning on this Sunday, 27. January 2008, 15 o´clock.
- First guest will be Maxim, who will talk about his ideas and feelings after the crash, his familiar and personal life, ...
- The spectators will also see a videotape of Max´s parents in Moscow who will talk about the situation, too.

Even in these promotion vids Max looks so desperate, sad, helpless, ...
When we have the vid from the show, I hope someone of our Bulgarians will be so kind to translate what they say! But somehow I´m afraid of what I will read here, then...

Petra, I can understand your trepidation in hearing what was said in the video. I want to know but I don't want to know.

We all feel powerless to help Maxim in any way and it is hard to be in such a position. But, I know one day we will get some good news about all of this. Even so, it is very hard to keep a positive attitude. Despair is often at the door. I so hope it will not last much longer!!

I see this video also...and I dont have words... Max look like ghost, colaptic...It will be very sad...Young, lauhgty, little ironic man is away....and I dont believe, that someday come back... I must say my opinion ( if my horrible english let me ) I think, that it is not good idea ...go this show, because...We must see truth on eyes....Maxim is guilty...He drunk, drive fast with big car on wet race....He is not victim... Manuela, Petar...their family and also Albena are victim....Every day on 5 august Maxim and his cause is in newspapers, tv..... And when he go to the show...and say about his life after crash...people say: ...yes,your life is not good, but you are alive, you are not on come, or death...say: he wan to be victime, misery.... I think, that best for Maxim ( and Albena) would be, if journalists give calm of this cause...and everything will be in hands judge....but..it is not possible....

Sorry of me words....but every moment when I see Albena cry... I am very angry to Maxim...their cariere, wedding, name, future...everything..Maxim destroy on the bridge up the river Ropotamo....
