It's true that the American tours go through July, actually, they go through August. But after May the pace really slows down, the shows are mostly at weekends, and sometimes there are weeks and weeks between the shows, so it's not that hard to start training and still be touring.

My personal opinion is that Albena and Maxim have been off training for almost two months now, and if they want to compete a full season next year, they have to start training again very soon. They can't take June off just because they usually do, not if they've already been off in April and May. If they're not going to do a full season, they have some more time.

Anyway, whatever decision they make will be the right one for them. I'm not worried about it, just curious. Although, Lana, why did you have to bring up NHK? Now I might start worrying.

I think that their decision is already made and it wasn´t very easy for them!!

I can tell you for sure that Albena and Maxim are not going to train till June 20th or so.. they are going to spend this time at the seaside and they are going to make their final decision there! hehe Yay!! They are going to have their deserved rest!!! Finally!!!!! Congrats to sweet Albie and Max! I'm so so happy for them!!!!

Ohh.. You have no idea how much I apreciate you for telling some news. It's great to get rid of the uncertinty that was here. I think everybody is happier to know a bit about future plans...

Of course they deserve this trip so much..I know Albena loves seaside, so I'm very happy for her and Maxim. I know they need rest and I hope they will have all the rest and peace they need.
Although, for me, this period will be a little bit edgy (is the word ok!?) becuase I will constantly think about the next move.
Either way, I'm sure they will make the right decision and if they are happy, I will be also. (even if I will miss them I'm almost sure they plan to retire..I feel this... and it's very sad )

But..holidays are always great!! Happy thoughts!!!
I wish them everything!! Everything Albena and Maxim want!!
Anything to make them feel better...
THEY DESERVE SOOO MUCH!!

Well, of course Linichuk and Bulgaria want them to stay. They've returned Linichuk to her glory days! She's even gotten new students while they've been gone! They are excellent advertisement for her. And of course I'm sure she wants another year to work with them, as a coach she'd have to be crazy not to want that! And Bulgaria, well, it's quite clear that Bulgaria adores them, and that's totally proper!

I still hope they make the decision for themselves-- not for Linichuk, or Bulgaria, or the fans. But I do think the super cute baby can wait a year or so, if they're not going to compete, it would be great for them to have a stress-free year... and having a new baby is not stress free!

And a few weeks at the beach sounds divine. I'm jealous.

Lerachka! you're back here! :<33: and thanks for the news about them!! I remember they had summer vacation at seaside last year but Maxim told me almost days were rainning during vacation!!! I really hope they have a nice vacation in this summer Beautiful summer will be coming soon!!

So I think if they stay it would be because they want to be "two times World Champions", to win Europeans.. and.. to enjoy being at the top!
By the way, I know for sure that Marie-France and Patrice stay for sure and also Galit and Sergei.. they stay, too. + Isa and Olivier.. Albena and Max would have some serious opponents..

Is that true that the second Canadian couple will retire (Megan Wing and ... I forgot the name of her partner ) I liked them, they had very good free program this season Maybe Lana knows something for this

Yeah, Megan Wing and Aaron Lowe did retire this season. I think I read this on the official Skate Canada website. I don't think they would have been able to hang onto their 2nd place finish at Canadian Nationals, again. The team that just won Junior Worlds, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir are verrrrry good! They are going to be amazing in a few years! Even if Megan and Aaron had stayed another season, I think they would have lost to Tessa and Scott at Nationals. Just my opinion, of course.
