YOU ARE VERY RIGHT!!!!THAT KIND OF FANATICISM IS SIMPLY DISGUSTING!!!

Oh no, I definitely didn't mean that we should stop the whole discussion! It's very fascinating!

I only meant that I personally can't start talking about religious fanaticism and what it does to society, because then I will start talking about American politics, and I will never, ever stop. :kataus: :kataus: affraid

Well..sometimes i feel so little and helpless. I am aware that I know so little and that it's not possible to know everything, but sometimes it's frustrating. Sometimes I think about all the myths, legends, books I don't have access too. No solutions, no answers...Ah!

Dear Alex!

Perhaps my knowledge of religion is not very deep!
But I understand that this Gospel is very different from the others and has a very different meaning! saaad

I admit it scared me a little! saaad I have to read it again very slowly to understand it better! zvet
Well...congratulations my dear Bea!! You managed to read the Gospel. Don't worry, I think certain things are very hard to understand. Also, there can be many interpretations, so this is also confusing. Cause you can understand something but a friend might understand something completely different. I think there is room for plenty of discussions.

I haven't read it yet. Sad I didn't had time. I know about it because I saw a loooot of documentaries. After it was discovered and made public everybody was crazy...showing, reading, explaining...heheh Wink

It's all horrible, and there's no easy end to it. But I better stop there or I'll start talking politics and then I'll never stop. shocked
Ohh..this is another issue. Still a religious one but this is very, very controversial. Fundamentalism has deep roots but in my opinion they didn't understood/interpreted very well some facts. And things got a bit exagerated. Very exagerated. I can try to understand the society and to loose my preducises towards their ways of life but I can never understand a death, a crime. You shouldn't do that under any circumstances...where is the love, the forgivness, the hope...Everything God/Allah is about.
We choose parts from it and we apply them but we completely forget the major concept of all this.

Ehhh...Grace...politics. An endless subject with infinit areas and problems. politics and religion. Ohhh...tough discussion. But I like it Wink (although I never have enough arguments..)

Me too, I like reading!
I live in lodgings (if that's the word) here in Plovdiv, I mean I don't live with my parents which are in my home town, and for few months (5-6) I didn't had a TV and I read so many books :study: :study: as never. lol!
But now I got a TV and .... suddenly I don't have this time to read, the TV distracts me shocked
But despite the TV, it took me only three or four days to read Angels and Demons and thrre days - for The Da Vinci Code :study: lol!

I have read the Gospel of Judas too!
And I find it rather disturbing! scratch scratch scratch , because it makes us look at the whole issue in a new light! scratch
And that is very disturbing to many people! And perhaps a bit scary!! silent

How ever, the CHURCH as an institution, is aware of them and says that people can buy them if they wanT to!
OK!! That´´s very nice of them! But they simply don´´t want to discuss them and say that they were anti Christian propaganda! scratch

Girls,
I am going to watch Da Vinci Code this evening with a bunch of friends! lol! lol! lol!
But I intend to wait for the other girls whose countries the premiere is on Friday to see it and then tell what I think about it!!! Basketball Basketball Basketball bounce bounce bounce

As far as I am concerned, we can go on talking about religion, here!!
I am not, in the least offended!!! lol! lol! lol!

Yesterday evening, one of the portuguese state channels, showed a program about the the book and the sources Dan Brown used to write it!!
It was very interesting! It was by an american or english channel that investigated it all!
And, although some of the facts maybe true, the people in the program, the ones who investigate it, said that part of it is indeed a great speculation!! scratch scratch
Sooo, the discussion is on!!!! :vo: :vo:

Dear Bea, for me it's OK - you can comment it if you want, they show it nowin Bulgaria, but I will go to watch it next week, because tonight I'm busy and in the weekend I won't be here in the town. Maybe monday I'll watch it. scratch scratch just I have to organize with my friends. I don't like to go at cinema alone - I must comment the movie with someone :mdr: :mdr:

And about religion - yes, we can continue discussing it. It's so interesting.

Wow ! affraid I have seen the film this afternoon ! affraid It is very good in my opinion ! I read the book just once, one year ago, so I don't remember all the details, but I think that all is respected in the film.

I saw it in original version, and it was better I think because they speak sometimes in English, sometimes in French... bounce
I can't tell you more because everybody don't see it, but I can just tell you that actors are very good, especially Audrey Tautou, and the music is great !!! cheers

A last thing... Embarassed It is very funny because I know the Louvre very well (I go to the museum twice or three times in a week) and I recognize the paintings, the rooms... And at the end, we see Langdon who walks, and I take the same way every day ! Very Happy
