It's funny , isn't it?????
I think that hadn't Portugal discovered the sea route to india and the spice route at the same time, they would have colonized Australia!
But India was the aim at the time so, they let Australia go!!!
However I think the book is very interesting!!
A story full of intrigue based on the rivalry between Portugal and Spain and the portuguese secret policy about the discoveries!!

I haven´t read the book, but I saw the movie! Have you seen it????
I don´t know whether the film and the book are alike, but the end in the movie was sad! One of the sisters commited suicide!

One huron killed Cora and than Uncas followed..
The way the author describes the scene and than the final chapter is heart breaking.

In the movie Cora doesn´t die. She waits for her lover..
Her sister commits suicide , because one of the indians kills her sweetheart..
So, It´s different from the book!!!
