I've had 2 huge books (with pictures) of russian stories. I read them a while ago. Long, long time ago. I must re-watch and re-read them to search something about Baba-Yaga because I don't remember this character . Maybe I was too little..
I'll search the photos and if I find something related to this I'll scan and send it to you..hehe...

Ohh, Alex.. you are so cute! oh childhood *sighs* it was a wonderful time After, our Baba Yaga talk I remembered some moments from my childhood.. too..
I was in Art Drawing class when I was 4 or so and we had our classes very late in the evening, usually. It was already dark in the streets, we were frightened to stay alone in Art School waiting for our parents. And we used to talk different horror stories to each other.. about Baba Yaga and Leshii and other characters.. ghosts.. :albino: it was really cute!

Well, I see you really love Bednaya Nastya! They show it quite often here, in Russia. Firstly, it was on one channel, when it finished, they started to show Bednaya Nastya on another one

Ok, here is the finale of my dream! Enjoy!!!

Max wanted to take Albie to the ice, but monkies didn't trust him very much. So they carried Albenka off, slightly aside. Without thinking twice, Max took Lana. "You are a rhythmic gymnast, you must be very flexible. We could do some lifts."
Gwendal was in skates, too. When he went up to the ice all the monkies kneeled - they were just like these smilies - (that was sooo funny!!! ) He did cast an angry glance on Navka, then he went to us and.. took.. Rady!!
Max and Lana were making nice lifts already and Max tried to explain her some positions =))) Monkies were too excited!! They jumped, screamed and shouted. Rady was wearing a very nice blue skirt and white & heaven blue top. It suited so much her dark hair! Yay! Gwen and Rady were learning different edges, rockers and counters. Then Gwendal said something to one monkey and the monkies began to play their drums.
Gwendal and Max made two little dances and presented them to the monkies public
Max and Lana's dance contained 4 lifts, some steps and a little step sequence. I liked the lifts so much.. The one was rotational.. level 3 I guess!!! Gwen and Rady's dance was different. They made only 1 lift. But their dance had one spin! hahaha
Then Max and Gwen thanked their new partners and took Alex and me. Of course, Max took a girl with blond hair
hahaha! My trainings with Alina were not useless!!! (I haven't told you, that last winter my friend Alina (AliaR) and I often were to an ice rink, we even tried to make a dance with lifts and twizzles! Ladies not single skating!! I usually played the role of Marina Anissina, lifting Alina! hahaha ) So, we have made some lifts, twizzles with Gwen, but when he wanted to show me how to make a spin, I fell. When I tried to lift Gwen, monkies went into raptures over it! (Yeah!! Monkies liked my lift!! )
Alex and Max made a very strong footwork. Wow I was impressed
Then Gwendal took Rady, again.
- Oh, girl, please, marry me!
(Gwen was at his best I see!!! He wanted to marry someone so much poor Tarzan Gwen.. )
- Marry.. what?? - obviously, Rady wasn't ready for such a proposal.
Gwen's monkies began their song again.
"Please, marry him!! Aaaaaa!!!
Please, marry him!! Oo-ooo-ooo!!
Please, marry him! Marry him!!!"
Rady looked at us, at Gwendal, at monkies with their bayonets and axes and.. agreed!
Monkies were jumping and screaming!! Suddenly we heard Navka's voice: "Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!" (well, haven't you forgotten about our Baba-Yaga tied to the tree?! ) "Noooooooooo!!" - her voice became lower and lower and.. Navka disappeared. Gwen's monkies disappeared, too..
We stood on the glade - me, Lana, Max and Gwen, Rady and Alex. Gwendal wasn't in leaves anymore. Jeans and black T-shirt. He said: "One moment, please! I shall explain you everything now!! She kissed Rady's hand and whispered: "Thank you! You saved my life!!" (cute, eh?? )
Gwendal ran to a one hut and set free Albena. Albenka ran out and.. Max ran up to her.. caught her in his arms and.. kissed!
Lerka and Lana began their song. It was a very cute song, sestrichka, but I can't remember the lyrics.. it was to Celine Dion's "Beauty and the Beast"
I just remember that in a place of the line "Beauty and the Beast" we sang "Albie and Maxiiim"
Albena understood they weren't alone, pushed Maxim aside and.. yeah, of course, she blushed We were applauding. So sweet moment
Gwendal kneeled to Albena. "Albena, please, forgive me. It was Navka's bewitchment. I might be like a monkey and live with monkies before the girl I had loved agreed to marry me. But I couldn't tell the girl it was the bewitchment. Nathalie left me since she knew I became like that. And there were only one another girl I had loved.. I had loved for ages. It was you, Albena. When I was a "normal" Gwendal, I couldn't tell you about my feelings. I understood that if I had said you that I could lose even our friendship. But here I had no another way to take off the bewitchment. Forgive me, Albena.. and you, Max, forgive me, guys! "
"It's a miracle I've met you, - Gwendal said to Rady. - I fell in love at first sight.. and it's a miracle you agreed to marry me!! But.. if you have changed your mind.. you mustn't marry me. The bewitchment is over. And it can't influence anymore. You can withdraw.. Still.. if you marry me, you will make me the happiest man in the World. Will you.. marry me?"

We were back to Sofia. The atmosphere was like it was at the beginning of my dream.. A huuuuge crowd of people. Flowers.. flowers everywhere..
cute white birds.. an awesome rainbow.. a white strip of carpet leads to infinity..
Bells!! The bells ring!!!!!!!!! Ring.. the bells ring louder and louder.. and..
I understand it was just my alarm!

Well, i liked Bednaya Nastya a lot. I don't know why it was so magical for me. The actors were very beautiful (This is how I ended up thinking that russians are beautiful. Am I right?..hehe). I can't explain, even now, why I am so passionate about russian culture and everything (language, history, the tzars, places..)..It's just it!!
But I miss the series because it was only once and now I have only short videos that I watch from time to time. I don't like soap operas at all...Bleah!! But if this is a soap-opera in Russia than there's the exception..

I'm going to read the final part now...uh, so curious!!

I found the books Lera!!!!!!!! weee...I re-read a few of the stories yesteray night. Hehe...I see them completely different now. Why are we growing so fast and forgot to like this stories?! I'm asking myself now, how is this possible? why is Ivan (the little brother) so good and pure and smart? Why is he tricking his older brothers and still get all the fame?? hehe...I see stories very different now.
Anyway, the stories are similar with romanian fairy-tales. Same 3 brothers and kings, daughters of kings, dragons..I still enjoy reading them,..no matter what..

So I have lyrics, a poem-story written by P. Ershov named the "hump-backed horsie" and a collection of russian stories by A. Tolstoi, M. Bulatov, T. Gabble, N. Kolpakova and a few more..The collection is named "Charmed russian fairy-tales"...

I found Baba-Yaga and her house (it had just one chicken leg rotating and jumping as I said...hahaha. Maybe it was from this books that I know about the chicken-legged house). Baba-Yaga is translated as "Baba-Cloanta-Cotoroanta"..so a similar romanian fairy-tales character.

I have a question though: who is the "very wise Vasilisa". She apears in quite a few of the stories...Is she a well-known, classic character in Russia?

I'll try to post the photos as soon as possible..
