"A personal and quite unexpected event has occurred in France, off-ice, in Marina Anissina’s life. She tells about her book. Elise has already told us about it, but here are more details :wink:

I hope you are getting ready for happy holidays. I’m coming from a tour in Japan and I would like to inform you of the lastest news before leaving again : my book will be issued on Oct.15, 2007.

I was very often requested to write a book. When I wanted to do it I was told it wasn’t time. But a quite unforeseeable personal event, occurring in 2000 out of the skating world, led me to talk about myself. Some happy and successful results resulted from this event ... The plan for this book was launched in 2003. From that moment I put on the paper – in Russian and French - all that I wanted to say in it. Thus, the book started to exist : I have been lucky to be heard out and helped in writing in French all the sheets handwritten wherever I was. Why in French ? because I am French and I won under the colors of the French flag.. And French is the olympic language !.

Now in 2007, i.e. four years later, my wish is coming true. The book covers more than my amateur career !.
My parents, my babushka (grand-mother), how I was brought up, my happy childhood and youth in Moscow, my russian winters and summers, my first steps on the ice, how I was trained to the stringent russian skating system, incentive to work …. are related. Then the split with my Moscow skating club, my arrival in Lyon (France) for eight days …. , my new obliged life, my thoughts, my feelings, my ambition through work, my emotions, my inspiration, my quest for perfection, the strength of passion that supported me throughout the years and matters which my name had nothing to do with, my wounded pride … will allow to better understand my true life and my “bad temper”. The work performed with our French coach, Muriel Boucher-Zazoui, my Russian coachs and the choreographers, the preparation for events with Gwendal, my feeling for music and choreography, clothing design, the important role of fans and spectators, our results and the final victory at Salt Lake in 2002, my post-olympic life, my lives ….
I have learnt a lot from this very difficult course.
This book ends with a “questions-answers” session.

A few days ago, I was searching some Marina & Gwendal videos, when I found an exhibition I was looking for a very very long time.

I'm not sure that everybody knows it, because I think they skated this exhibition only once, at the French Nationals Gala in Asnières, in December 2002. Marina & Gwendal were invited at this gala, they skated this EX and Fallin'.

I loved this exhibition :woow:

(I still love it btw), so I was so happy about finding it Yahoooo!!!
