Oh, I have a mass group routine to do on Sunday. I am not looking forward to it, as we have only practiced it twice. And it's with ball, which is a verrrry hard apparatus for many of the girls. I think it shall be a disaster! But... I'm sure your group routine will be great, sestrichka!!! When are you performing it? Erm... yeah... maybe I could make a movie. If not, at least, I could get you photos. I am still waiting for Ksenia to give me a CD with the photos from our gala. - Quote :
- erm.. one little tiny idea? well.. my coach offered me to use "The Mask of Zorro" soundtrack ("The Plaza of Execution" piece) but I don't know.. I love the music very much.. it's fab Some music accents are perfect for acrobatics.. but it is not our final decision! so if you could try to think of something, please, do it, sestrichka!
ohhh! I remember that I liked the "Mask of Zorro" soundtrack. I will try to download that specific piece, when I get home. :jump1: Yeah, I haven't made any final decisions, either. surprise, surprise... - Quote :
- I'm very glad you liked my imagining! hehe I should listen to the music, again, I'm sure, I'll "see" something else! And yes, little crystals must look very lovely on your dress, Laur!
I did like it, sestrichka! hehe. I always "see" a green ribbon and black dress, when I listen to the music. Perhaps, I am very closed-minded, Lerochka. It's always the same! Ohh... crystals. hehe. Yes, my "crystal addiction" is becoming evident, again!

| For Lerka A repost of Turandot I'm a bit panicked, today. My coach doesn't think my ball music works for me. So, I need to find another piece. Joy. I have until next Tuesday. Actually, I need all 4 pieces by next Tuesday. Arg... Nevermind. It will all work out. | |

Nevermind. It will all work out. You managed to find the right pieces?!!? So, Cirque du Soleil is not for you?! But why?! I imagined a cute, poetic, romantic and beautiful ball-routine on it. Hmm..I promised a description of the costume for "Art on Ice". Well, in my opinion (even if I like green a loooooot - so i agree with Lerka's description ) ice suggest, for me, something blue, gray, white and black. I'm not sure how this coulours should be combined in order to look gorgeous, but I'm sure there is a way. I think you are not allowed to have veiles on your costume, so sleeves with veils is out of the discussion. I see a black skirt, with a double veil on it. (this should be ok, right?!). The veils are gray with blue reflection/shade. The top is white with a thin, thin black veil on it. The borders of the dress, have sparky snowflakes. But the snowflakes are so little and cute, that it will look just like crystals (for the audience). You can have - I'm not sure abt this - a biger snowflake on your arm, or on your skirt.. I think this will contrast brilliantly with your hair... The ribbons colour is a pale gray..or silver.

So, Cirque du Soleil is not for you?! But why?! I imagined a cute, poetic, romantic and beautiful ball-routine on it. Erm... sort of. I have a clubs routine, now. And I have chosen my music from ribbon and ball. Hoop... I still don't know. My coach is giving more time to chose something. After my other 3 routines are choreographed, I will need to know. Right now, I'm not training, because of the injury. Apparently, my hamstring injury was misdiagnosed. I have actually hurt a joint in my hip, which is effecting my hamstring, as well. So, I am not allowed to stretch my legs for 2 weeks. Because, every time I do, I will just get more injured. If I have not healed enough in 2 weeks, than they will have to do some sort of procedure to my hip. Yeah, my coach & choreographer agreed that the Cirque music wasn't a "perfect match". Sometimes, that happens. I found a piece called "Maya's Theme". I will post it later, I think you will like it. Your description of the dress was so gorgeous and wonderful, Alex!!! :<33: It's sounds beautiful. Now, I want one exactly like it. Yes, veils on sleeves aren't allowed. You'd get deductions for them. RG shirts are actually shorter than skating skirts, so layered skirts aren't as effective. I'm not sure, if that's what you meant by veils on the shirt. But I hope so! I would love to see a drawing of this dress, because it sounds stunning. The snowflakes made of crystals reminded me so much of Stéphane's FP costume! It would be fab. - Quote :

Well, metallic coloured ribbons are illegal. Pale grey is definitly possible, though. I would have to dye a white ribbon.

I'm sorry to hear that, Lana! It's not easy at all I mean - you have to train, but you don't have to stretch to much. When you have time, post the song you've chosen, we're curious to listen to it.

You are very nice, Vania! Thank you. Actually, I haven't been training. Whenever I stretch, the joint just gets more tight and more painful. I'm told, if I keep stretching, my back will start to have problems, too. So, I just chose to take the 2 weeks off from training. I'd rather be safe, than sorry. I miss training terribly, but oh well... 2 weeks isn't long. Sure, I'll post it, later. It's on my other computer, though.

It's a piece from the movie "Kama Sutra". I have never seen the movie, but some of the music is really nice. The composer is Mychael Danna. I'll post the piece in a few minutes, when I have downloaded it. The cut version of the piece is on my other computer. - Quote :

Completely off. Apparently, I won't loose any of my flexiblity by taking the 2 weeks off. I'm told that I will gain flexiblity, actually. When the joint loosens, my leg flexiblity will come back... Don't worry about drawing it, Alex. I agree that drawing veils and transparent fabrics would be a pain. I don't need my dresses, until the fall, anyhow. I have plenty of time to look at dress designs and fabrics. I like this process a lot. I probably need 1 or 2 new ones, this year. - Quote :

Thank you very much for you sweet words, darling Alex!!! :<33: I hope these two weeks away from the gym will make some difference. I don't like the idea of having a precedure done to my hip. But, if I need one, I will have it done. I have all of July off and it's less "extreme" to stretch at home. I still cannot believe the amount of time I have spent with some sort of injury. | Well..my opinion about Maya is very positive. Considering it's for a ball routine, meaning slower and ample moves, I think the song is perfect. I like the rythm and the specific moves (I mean very defined moves, synchronized steps with the music) you can create on it. It's a geat piece and I do like it a lot, but it feels (for me) like it's not very powerful I mean, it could be a little bit more suggestive/powerfull. But, in the end, I really don't know what music is better for a ball routine, so please don't mind me, don't be upset on me, cause I said this. I do like the song. In fact, I'm very curious about the complete song, the original version.. :<33: :<33: and also the cut you are going to use... Kisses to all :<33:

Upset? Never. I value honesty. I find it funny that you think this piece isn't very powerful. Because, I found "Maya's Theme" to be stronger than "Jeux d'Eau". I need a slower piece that I can "show-off" my flexiblity to. And I love the oriental feel of this music, so I think it will work well. Maybe, I could have found a more powerful piece. I'm happy that you liked this piece, sestrichka! You are right, I find it very mysterious in the beginning. After 1:05, I find that part just stunning. I only use about 25 seconds of the slow part.
