Albena and Maxim in IceAge 3, season 2008/2009

For example Alexei Yagudin (I only use this example now because I do not watch all the performances and therefore do not know about the programs of all the skaters) had a slip ca. 20-30 seconds before the end, but could manage not to fall; his partner Valeria at the beginning was standing 10 seconds at the same place, not moving; and at the end Valeria was llieing 15 seconds on the ice, not moving again... They received a 11,98!
Somehow I have the impression that from the very beginning of the show they know whom they want to have in till the end and whom they don´t want to have... dependent on whom the public wants to watch during the following tour, maybe dependent on who is liked bei TAT (=Tatiana Anatolieva Tarasova) and who is not... Therefore IMO some skaters will never be voted out, even if they would have three falls or more during the performance (and here I do not only mean Yags, but others too!)...
I think Maxim and Tatiana nobody had on the list at the beginning, they surprised even the judges with their strong will and their fight...
And Albena and Timur... normally they should stay... during the last tour she always had a lot of applause ... So let´s hope the rumour you heared is not true...
Let´s think positive: Tomorrow it will be Sedokova who is voted out, and not Albenka!

Now serously, I watch as much as I can, but most of the time I am too tired to write comments.

There is one thing Albena and Timur are not and have never been, boring. Timur makes a huge progress for a novice. This thing with lifts is unfair, but let us see. I am sure many people tune to this show to see then and a few other pairs. TAT was saying something about the beggining not being very misical, in a sense too much talking, blah ...

Maxim and Tania are doing quite well and it is a pleasure to watch them every time. It was funny how TAT struggled to find a reason to give them something less than 6.0 I watched her how she struggled to find a reason to give Yags as high marks as possible and she said so. Some of that Yahs lifts you copy paste (not so good though) of a lift that Maxim did either with Tania or with Albena. I noticed two of these. They skated well though.

Any way, I am sure Max doesn't care at all about these. Most people, that are very talanted just don't care about little things like this.

Any way. Hope Albie and Timur stay. I liked what she said before nominations. That Timur is making such a good progress and they enjoy skating for the crowd. No complains, no excuses. I have heard things about many of these SMS shows, like American idol, that people can not always vote for their favorite. Let's hope for the best now.

BTW those "Children of capt. Grant" may be may favorite dance of Tania and Maxim. It had so much energy.

Today is the show I don't know when exactly it starts. Luckily, I'll be home today and I can follow the results I really believe that the audience will choose Albie and Timur to stay in the show IF they decide this In the poll in the forum only 14 people voted for them, and for Khvalko and Sedakova are more than 100. So, it's clear who the crowd likes more
But I'm afraid that once nominated, Albena and Timur may be nominated almost every show even if they don't deserve it. The jury can always find a "reason" for giving them (and not only to them) lower marks than they deserve. The same for giving someone 6,0, although they stumbled or felt. I don't know how many couples will reach the final, but I'm 10000% sure for three of them. Can you guess who I'm talking about

I really liked Albenas and Timurs dance, it suited so well the music and was so harmonious, they did difficult moves, the lift was properly done…really a beautiful dance. I also liked the acting in the beginning. And – Albena looks beautiful with the dark hair, IMO….

It is so sad that this show, which should be entertainment in the first place, turns into a battle as we know it from competitive figure skating, with corruption and injustice, at the expense of those who work so hard.

What is T. Tarasova asking for? Even higher lifts? She shouldn’t push these unexperienced, still unsure non-professional skaters into lifting a partner! (It’s different with the professional men with their partners, of course, they have the experience and knowledge how to hold someone). Timur improved a lot concerning his skating, Albena must be a very good teacher, but it takes so much strength and a stable equilibrium to carry out a lift, especially a high lift, that it would be very, very scary to let him do that! Haven’t there been enough injuries in this show already, do we really need severe falls on the head, concussions, trauma??? I’ve seen the photo of Albena putting on the crash helmet, I’ve read the quote of Timur saying that Albena would need a psychiatrist to treat her fear – even if this is meat jokingly, it’s not funny! The last thing I want to see is Albena ending up with a concussion!

As I only watch the vids with Albena/Timur and Maxim/Tatiana (not for lack of interest, but because my internet connection is so slow), I’d like to know: do the other couples show the lifts and difficulties Tarasova is asking for?
By the way, talking of injuries – is anything new known about Maxim’s knee injury?

Max and Tania were both dressed in black, both as cowboys! The two 5,9 that reduced their marks came from ... Tarasova ! Grrrrrrr!!!!!!

If I understand the translation from Russian forum right then Timur made a lift with Albena upside down and had a fall while doing this ! Uhhhhhhh!

Oh,this is great. I was afraid to look and see the results. Yay, Albie and Timur are srill in the show.They did two lifts ,fall on the second one but Tarasova told them that it was good and she want them to stay in the project forever but they still need to do lifts.Well they will i am sure just nothing to crazy and dangerous i hope.Nothing about the song but Timur was with a strange hat and Albena was dressed as a police woman .

Now about Tania and Max, Vania already wrote that they dance salsa ,cha-cha and the song was "Represent Cuba" /love the movie and all the songs are just super/.Sikharulidze said that it wasn't their best dance.They try to do combination lift and it came out heavy .Maybe next time they should concentrate more on skating-dancing ,Tania is doing extremly well the lifts but they need good skating too,because at the end is going to be very difficult to keep their positions.Oh,well to be honest as long as i can see my favorite couples , i don't care about the placement very much.Of course is important but i rather enjoy watching them instead of having them in the nomination.

Anyway,i am happy for all of them,next time they'll do better.


P.S.I hope Maria Petrova is not hurt, her partner drop her from a lift.He is very good sportsmen but those lifts are getting dangerous,maybe is better for the non-profs to do less complicated and not toot dangerous lifts.After all they are in the show and not competing at GPF,WC or Olympics .

No,Petra i just check,nothing new i hope it wasn't bad but you never know Albena was proud with Timur that after the fall he manage to stay focused and they finished the dance .

Thanks Viki !! Tarasova really should not order more lifts from non-professional skaters ! That´s too dangerous and very unnecessarily lives of valuable persons (Albena, Maria Petrova) are risked...
