Stephane's flamenco was very beautiful and ful of passion and energy and special flameco-gestures , I really liked it, though it was actually a bit to much for me, the theme of the dance is more clear when he keeps it more simple, I think, but he did wonderful!!

Well, O.K Stephane is very hot..
and he is a wonderful skater...
I do hope he competes until Vancouver...

I also hope Stephy competes in Vancouver.. Please Stephy, It will be such a waste if you don't..

I can not imagine figure skating without him
I was not able to understand why did Alexei gave up eligible figure skating..and now Steph!?!

They must have their reasons.. Perhaps they think that all the training is too much and there are other things to enjoy..

In Alexei's case, well he had won everything...everything soo, what can we say? we cannot blame him..

actually, Lesha wasn't going to quit - he had to because of his health - and before he was detemined to skate till Torino

Sometimes I really think that young people may be tempted to steer away from sport because today life has so much to offer.. I admire those that do not.., really!

Yes, Serena. Being a fan of Lesha I followed his career plans. He was very upset when he decided to quit...

But I think we can never know for sure, unfortunately..
Look at Alexei Yagudin..he had to quit..and I have never seen a Champ like him again! I know I was very young when I saw him in Japan! But I never forgot all those flowers on the ice! It was so Magical! I just looked at the tv, my eyes locked!

Let's hope men's skating will get evem more spectacular..than it already is! I hope Stephy will contribute to it!!

Sorry, but I read the discussion about Stephane quitting twice, and I couldn't understand where did it come from. Who said he quits, when does he quit, why does he quit?
I really hope he doesn't. He's sooo good, it's a real pleasure to watch him on the ice.

It's just that He said he didn't have the "fire" he need to compete, he had no motivation at Euro...
Of course He competed at worlds...but it was obvious that he wasn't really ready to compete...I don't think he did found his motivation. For me it was more a pressure by the Swiss Federation & His sponsors more than anything else

So if He really lost his motivation ...maybe he'll quit unfortunaly!

Oh, I hope he finds motivation! After all, he hasn't won Olympic title yet! Isn't it sufficient motivation?

No, I'm joking, I can imagine that at one point you start to feel tired and think it's all meaningless. It happens to a lot of people, not only skaters, and for many different reasons. And if you are not happy with what you are doing, you'd better stop doing it. But I really hope that this moment, this crisis will pass away and Stephane will have his fire again. After all, we catched a glimpse of it in Tokyo. So he wasn't that good in the short program, ok, for him it was a failure. But in the free, he was very good, he moved up from 6th to 3rd place. Maybe that 6th place urged him to do his best in the free, I don't know. And he was happy after that, so, I don't know, he didn't look like someone who doesn't want to compete and to fight... Well, we'll see!

I have already thought that..and perhaps you are right. I know how my friends are like.. one day they decide to do sth and the next they decide to do sth else.. and they are Stephy's age..

I know why Alexei has quit..but still i was so sad..and still i am.
I really hope that Steph will found a motivation to continue...i will try to understand whatever he will do...but maybe he will be in Vancouver.
