AD:
Well, I never tried to hide it. In contrary to some interpretations from the last few days. I’ve never tried to hide because of the simple reason that there is nothing to be hide. This is something wonderful that can happened to everyone and I am very happy. Besides I want to share that two days ago /September 20,2010/ I became aunt and to congratulate my sister and her sweet little baby. I want to say “Thank you “ to the doctors that delivered the bay for their well done job .
VS:
Look how much happiness for your family .One pregnancy after another. I can imagine how happy is your mom.
AD:
Happiness and responsibilities.

Yes, because for me this something very important that is tied with lots of worries but I believe that we also will have many pleasant moments.
EG:
And after how many months we have to congratulate you?
VS:
I was about to ask this question that people always are asking in those cases “When we can expect the happy event?”
EG:
Yes, it’s terrific question.
AD:
In general, after New Year but we can’t be so exact . My term is at the beginning of next year .There is still time, I hope everything will be well, without complications and for the things to be as for every normal pregnant woman.
VS:
Lets cross our fingers because this is one really wonderful news.
EG:
Many of the lady viewers are interested how Maxim reacted to the news?
AD:
He is very happy .He was talking about this maybe for more than10 years but there was no way because at first we were competing and later there were other reasons. Finally, the right moment came and just like that .He is happy with the fact that he is having a child.
VS:
Are you going to tell us the gender?
AD:
No.
VS:
You don’t want to tell.OK.
AD:
It is not very certain anyway, so …lets wait.

AD:
Well,yes but…

AD:
No, is not like this. I just consider it as a private matter and I don’t see reason to discuss it so much because is not a big deal, except for me and our family.

Yes, but we love famous personas and people are interested .

Yes, besides this is a happy thing. It’s not something bad ,it’s something wonderful.
AD:

You mentioned that you postponed this because of your competitive career and later because you were the President of BSF. What do you think about the current Council , how are the things now?
AD:
I was trying to resign for two years and finally in December 2009 Mariela Staikova took the position as President of BSF.
VS:
Who is Mariela Staikova? Please forgive my question. I admit her name doesn’t ring the bell for me.
EG:
I admit the same.
AD:
Well ,maybe no one in the sport knows. She is a lawyer and was member of the BSF Council .Anyway, I learned abut what happened later in April because I wasn’t in Bulgaria .I and Maxim had arrangements outside the country .When I came back, I found out that there were some outrages things .Money that belong to BSF were spent for personal needs. Big amount for shopping, rent-a-car , hotels, places nowhere near ice rinks.
VS:
What do you mean? The Federation' money…
AD:
Yes , with credit card that belongs to BSF she spent aboutlet say 40 000 leva /30000 USD/ for something that wasn’t approved by the BSF Council Board and we didn’t know .This is not understandable for me. After all ,for me if you have important position either you need to bring money to improve the sport or if you are good specialist you have to find some other way to help it. In this case ,the things were oriented ,more or less , in her personal favor and to serve certain people which it was shocking for me.
EG:
In your opinion, who are those people?
AD:
First, for personal needs. Then only one or two sport clubs are tolerated and we have 14. Honestly, nobody is pleased with this because is stopping the sport activities. The National sportsmen have to self finance their traveling expenses and to participate in GP and international competitions because nobody wants to sign invoices for competition trips .It is not right and for months most of the members in the BSF Council are trying to make changes .Unfortunately, Mrs.Staikova as a lawyer have some methods that are giving us hard time and troubles but I hope soon we will resolve the problems.
VS:
What do you need to do.? Organizing General Board meeting?
AD:
Yes, we can try this or submit decisions to the court .It won’t be easy because she has certain positions in the court .We’ll find the solution and maybe the last step is going to be General Board meeting .However, I don’t want to discuss in details in advance because I find it ugly to bring the things to the media and in public .I believe we have to “wash our dirty laundry” in our community.
VS:
Usually, the Federations are doing something else .They would fill out complain to the Government and ask for help. Did you think about this?
AD:
Well, we were but honestly this will stop the sport activities of the Federation .As a sportsmen I don’t see the point of stopping sportsmen from participating in competitions because for them it means to miss one year.It is not their fault that..
EG:…the money are being used for personal needs.
AD:
Exactly. And that maybe we made the wrong decision by choosing the wrong person. Simply, in Bulgaria at the moment the situation was very complicated because nobody else from the Board wanted to take responsibility and the President’s position .
EG:
There were many rumors that you were boycotted by some of your assistants before your resignation.
AD:
No, I can’t tell this by all means. I was neither boycotted while I was President nor now. More likely and somehow I was expecting from my assistants to get more involved in the daily activities because I was traveling and had engagements outside the country most of the time .I considered my job was to support the sport by organizing competitions .For example, we brought big amount of money from hosting two JGPF that could be used to improve those two sport disciplines/figure skating and short trek/ because when the new Council Board came 3 years ago the Federation was facing bankruptcy .
VS:

Are you going to do choreography again?
VS:
Are you going to work with Joubert again?
AD:
No, we won’t work with Brian Joubert this year because we couldn’t coordinate and made our programs by May-June when everything supposed to be ready .He was busy at one place and we were at another. We were invited in Germany to work with Ice Dance teams and to made their programs for the new season. Otherwise, this is something we love to do but we also like to be on the ice. Unfortunately, in my condition there is no way this could happen anytime soon…
VS:
You have to be patient for a while.
AD:
…and it looks like Maxim has to go on maternity leave for a year .Yet, we are fortunate that he is busy in Moscow, so he’ll fly to Sofia and I’ll fly to Moscow. So this is how is going to be for us this season.
VS:
As far as I know, you are going to work on something with Vasko Vasilev?
AD:
Yes. We have this idea with Vasko to work on project about promotional T-shirts because he turns 40 on October 14 and we wanted to make something together. On 10/20/2010 he is having concert in NDK.
VS:
BTW,I am going to be 40 very soon too.
AD:
So this year for first time I’ll have more time to do something I like .Maybe to go to concert ,ballet , Sofia Dance Week, Vasko,s concert and etc. I’ll try to entertain myself because is unusual for me to stay at home and do nothing but…
