| OMG, things just get worse and worse for Jess and Bryce. They got too close on SBS camel spins and his blade hit her in the face! I hear she's going to be fine, but of course they took her to the hospital and they didn't finish their freeskate. I hope she'll be okay physically and mentally for Worlds! And him too, of course, this could be very hard on him emotionally. | |

| Yes, I was so chocked when I read that ! I have read too that it's "only" a cut on her cheek, nothing really important, like Elena Berezhnaya's accident on a SBS camel spin you know, but... poor Jess ! Hope everything will be ok very soon ! Look, I have found an article. | |

No, I hadn't, Rosee. Ohh... both videos are so upsetting. Especially the one where it shows Bryce crying. Woww... I don't know what to say. Here's a statement from their official website - Quote :
- Feb. 9, 2007:
Update: 9:13pm PT - Statement from Jessica: “I want to thank everyone for their concern and support. I’m doing well and I’m looking forward to seeing my family and friends back home. I’m also looking forward to getting back on the ice with Bryce in the next little while.”
ISU medical advisor Dr. Jane Moran spoke with the press Friday evening and made the following statement:
“Jessica had her surgery last night as you’re aware. The surgery went very well. The surgeon explored the laceration, and there is no evidence that she needed to have any bone repair done at all, so she had soft tissue repair done. The repair was done in layers with sutures under her skin, and she has very fine sutures on the skin. It was dressed with a dry dressing, and she was observed overnight. The surgeon assessed her today. He was very pleased with her progress and, because of that, he has discharged her from the hospital. Bryce was with her the whole time in the hospital, and he was very happy that she did very well overnight and that everything looks good today, so they were discharged a couple of hours ago with follow-up instructions with the Team Canada doctor and to follow-up back in Canada when they return.” I love Jessica's attitude about the whole thing. She is so tough. I wish them both alllllll the best!!!

- “Before we stepped onto the warm-up, I was in tears when I heard about it,” said fellow Canadian Anabelle Langlois, who skates with Cody Hay. “I was fine when we started the program. The closer the side-by-side spins came in our program — and I’m not scared of it as an element together, we’re not that close — but for some reason, I knew about the spin and it brought it back in my mind, and I kept fighting my brain.”

| I'm very happy for Marie-France and Patrice ! (vive Lyon ! ). I prefer them than Tanith & Belbin... Congratulations to Marie-France and Patrice !!! And Congratulations to Canada ! 2 pairs on the podium ! A man and a lady too on podiums, Canadians are good !!! As for men, Evan is the skater that I like the much, but I must confess that I don't like North-American skating in men category... I prefer Russian or European style. And... no Japanese lady on the podium ! World championships will be very very hard for our European girls, Carolina and Sarah... | |

Really ? Oh, what a surprise ! Yes, except ladies... Before Torino, I wasn't used to like Johnny, but his free last year was fantastic. And I like what he does this season (yes, what a fantastic choregrapher he has ! ). I like Evan because he's strong technically. At worlds, between him, Brian and Stéphane, it will be wonderful ! Emanuel is one of my favorite. I like his skating very much, but he disappoints me a lot, he falls too much ! In a similar style, I like Ilia Klimkin too.

I know, I know it was unexpected, eh? Well, French Ice dancing school is just brilliant. Gennady Akkerman (russian) helped Muriel a lot for many years, so Muriel and Gennady brought up almost all the skaters Muriel has now together. But he is almost forgotten. I know that he worked with Marina & Gwendal and with Nathalie & Fabian at the beginning of their career. He could give skaters amazing technical abilities. It was his goal. And we can see that now with Nath & Fab! Their skating is fab! Wide, soft Akkerman was a wonderful specialist! He was not very acknowledged in Russia for I-don't-know-what-reasons, so Muriel won a lot with him! - Quote :

yes.. but actualy I can't say that I like any school of Ladies skating. Btw, I guess I like russian school of Pair skating! But it seems Russians are really great here!!!! I have to say that. Elena & Anton, Tania & Max, Masha & Lesha and Masha & Maxim As for Johnny, I didn't like him before this season, either! I think.. it's all.. Marina & Elise But he is nice.

An article. I wish I could see 4 first CDs, 3 first ODs & FDs, but ok, I won't die without watching it.
They showed the OD+FD at eurosport..Haven't you watched it? You can find the OD of D/L on youtube Otherwise i also like the results, and i am not surprised from it, although i don't find "At Last"competitive when compared to the other top 3 FD, but it was better then the FD of B/A-which can be called work in progress for now We have already discussed the OD, but i am very how come with this kinds of performances and mistakes D/L and B/A received such scores? And after the OD&FD i am getting more and more convinced that D/L shouldn't get more then a bronze medal at Worlds

| I have no Eurosport, Lanadd. So I couldn't watch. I'm not surprised with the score, it was in the USA, well it's almost the same thing that was at Nats. Everyone is getting enormous scores. As for B/A it can't be called "the work in progress", but it is so!! They should spend all the 24 hours per day till Worlds at the skating rink to "sharpen" it. | |

For pairs, Russian school is the best ! I don't like at all Chinese style, and Russian are both strong in technic and in artistic, and it's true for... centuries ! Gordeeva & Grinkov, Dmitriev and his 2 partners... I even think that Olympic gold medals have always be got by Russian pairs, right ? (except Sale & Pelletier). And about the competition, yes, scores were just . Just like at Skate America if I remember well.

Whoose scores were inflated at SA? I'm not sure it was at SA, but at an GP event for sure, before TEB, so it was SC or SA. Almost all ice dance scores were very high. But for all the skaters (still if I remember well , maybe I'm totally wrong , my brain is tired today ), not for some pairs only.

- After waking up from surgery, Dube asked Barabe how her teammate, Cynthia Phaneuf did in the women's short program, who won the pairs event and how she and Davison would've finished if not for the accident. The pair was skating a clean program until the accident.
"I just said third," Barabe said.
