Biathlon

Is there anybody here who likes biathlon?
Or is that a stupid question and I'm the only one here? Razz

No you're not alone i like the biathlon too. You know the french are good in this sport. My favorites are Ole Einar Bjorndalen and Anna Carin Olofsson.

(ps: I prefer nordic skiing, ski jumping and nordic combined)

No, you're not alone! My favorite are Raph Poiree & Sandrine Bailly, and of course Ole Einar who is simply the best Laughing

Oh, I'm a greatest fan of the Poiree-team - Raph, Liv Grete, Emma and newly born Anna cheers

As for Ole, I do respect him very much, but It was a torture to see him win the prizes when Raph and our Russian guys did not. nooo

I also like the Canadian Zina Kocher for some reason. I must be the only fan of her Razz

I like the German team - Uschi Disl was my favourite, but she retired. Kati Wilhlem, Andrea Henkel, and for the men - Poiree, Defrasne, Fischer....
I cheer for the Bulgarian team, of course, but this season our best biathletes are injured or ill Crying or Very sad

Nikoultchina used to be very good, didn't she? But for the last seasons something happened to her.
I also lokied Ushi - she and herr Fisher are the only German biathleten I like Smile

Yes, Nikoultchina is good, but she has huuuuge problems with the shooting Rolling Eyes

otherwise, she skies quickly. She has a bronze or silver from the Olympic games. And Ekaterina Dafovska won the 15 km start at the Olympics in Nagano (1998), now she's injured and I think she'll retire soon, maybe after this season.

a couple of years ago I had a boy friend who was crazy about biathlon - and he made me love it - we broke up long ago - but I still a great fan of the sport Smile

But I understand him, he want to have a "real" life and now He has 2 children! But the french comentators said that it was not immpossible for him to return in 2010 just for the olympic season :wink:

But how old will he be then? More than 35, certainly. But obviously, the biathletes are able to compete till the age of 35-40 and be still between the best ones. Look at Ricco Gross, for example, who is about 36-37 y.o., I think. Also Sven Fischer and your compatriot, Vala Wink
