Right, this topic is there. There are so many messages here, but it's great because that means that A&M have many fans who can't even stop thinking about them and they can talk and talk and talk...

I'm slowly trying to get through all of the topics but it's going to take some time. But I'm so very happy

Hi!!! I don't know if anyone remembers me on here... but I was around a lot last Spring (after A&M's first win at Worlds!! cheers

) but then work and other things basically meant I had very little time to spend online :|

I am sorry I have been away for so long. I was finishing my PhD (it is all done now YIPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!) and I have several jobs and it is all very boring Laughing

but now I am back and I won't disappear again (well unless I get runover by a bus or something shocked

What Albena and Maxim did is trully a huge accomplishment!! One medal for Bulgaria is already too much for some and unbelievable for others. What about 2 medals?! :stari:

My PhD :study: was about the Olympic Games during the Cold War - it pretty much stayed the same Laughing

I am just soooooooooo relieved to have finished, and I just CAN'T get used to be a 'doctor'! It is incredibly weird but of course I am very proud Very Happy

Just in case you're interested, my thesis was actually entitled "The Olympic Games and the Issue of Recognition: British and American perspectives, 1944-1972" baaa

- basically I looked at how the British Foreign Office and US State Department 'used' the Olympics for diplomatic reasons, particularly in the cases of the recognition of the two Germanies (FRG and GDR) and the two Chinas (PRC and Taiwan/Republic of China)... ok that's enough now!!!!!!!!
