Irina is such a good skater, European champion 7 times !!!

Oh.. 2002 was the most terrible year for Irina.. she is so strong to continue skating after everything what happened with her..

I really like Irina, she has beautiful skating and smile, and I admire her for being so strong all the time. It was sad at Olympics...

She's not my favorite either (because I prefer Irina, and then, Masha Butyrskaya), but I like Elena very much

About Irina, I really loved this program (Olympic SP) :

I often watch my Olympic tape with ladies short programs (to tell you the truth, I only watch Irina's SP... ). This SP is... I don't know, so strong, so powerful. The music is perfect for her !

Is Ira quitting? no......without her it isn't the same, I watch here since I'm 4, luckly Elena stays. Is it true the WC of 2010 will be in Saint Petersburg? Then some skaters would probably come back.....I hope so.

I did not write here so far...probably because I'm not sure what to say. I love Irina a lot and I love to see her skate but there is smth that holds me back from saying she's my favourite.
I don't think I have a favourite so far...maybe Elena Sokolova?! I think...

I admire Irina's will and power and strength. Her programs are always very good and enjoyable.

Hi! I'm new here!

Irina is simply my fave singles skater. Her performances are simply magical and I was really mad at the judges in the Olympics when they placed her in 3rd overall behind Cohen (even though she had 2 mistakes). I absolutely loved her '05-'06 FS and I am really sad that she won't be competing in the GP this year...

I really hope things will work out for her! She is always so powerful in her skating and has an amazing attitude about life and skating. She's been through so much, and she is still smiling. That is super awesome!

She is my all-time favorite singles skater...no doubt about it.

I am depressed now...Irina is retiring! :| I had hoped she would stick it out for at least one more year... but I guess it was a silly dream.

Well, I think, Irina's retiring is not that bad. She had a lot of plans and is very optimistic as I can see from her Russian interviews.
