| Girls, let's change for a while the theme for the religion we started and talk about The Bridget Jones's Diary (if you want ) I've read the the book 3 or 4 times and it's still interesting for me. Brifget is sooo cute and maybe in every woman there's one "bridget" with same life and problems. Did you read the book (or watched the movie) and what do you think about it? | |

| I have read two books, and I have seen two films ! (I saw part II yesterday for the first time !). I love the first film, I find it so funny , I like especially Bridget's voice who tells us her story ! There are a lot of funny things, like the blue soup... And Hugh Grant is so... handsome !!! For part I, I prefer the film than the book. And for part II, I prefer the book. But I don't know why ! | |

- Yes, Maria it was the part II of the movie, but it was in the part I of the book when she made a pregnancy test it was very funny because she didn't read the instructions, and when she saw one line on the test (indicating that the test is valid) she tought she was pregnant
I see!! Sooo, they don't follow the story from the book to every detail!! Sometimes it's impossible!!! However, I still think that most of the books are still better than the movies that are made after!

In general, I think that the books are better than the films but for Bridget Jones, I prefer the film (but only for part I). I think it is the only time !

- Serena, I think both are very good (the book and the movies - I and II part). But maybe the book is better because there is lot of humour that is missing in the movie. I think that Bridget Jones's diary was better than The edge of reason, but it's just my opinion.
Thanks, for telling me what you think , dear! It is a pity that they can't transmit all the humour in the book to the public!!! :<33:

| I never read the books. But, I have seen both of the movies. I saw the first one, when I was too young to understand all of it (11, maybe?). When I saw it again recently and thought that it was a very funny and cute movie. I liked it a lot. Renée Zellweger does an absolutely adorable performance and was very likeable. Of course, Hugh Grant is great in any role that requires him to be swarmy and smirk a lot. The 2nd movie was disappointing to me... It lacked a plot and the humor wasn't there. I find this is very common in sequels, though. I just did not like it. | |

You are absolutely right!!! Usually the sequels are very disappointing. But , it seems , that the two films fail to transmit all the humour that is in bith books ...and that's a pity!!!
